Hello! I'm Dr. Wendy Taylor, an experimental particle physicist and Professor of Physics and Astronomy at York University (Toronto, Canada). I'm a member of the York University High Energy Physics group.

My research is currently focused on the search for a hypothetical subatomic particle called the magnetic monopole. For this search, we are using the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland. A magnetic monopole is a particle that is postulated to carry only one magnetic pole (either south or north), similar to the way electric charges can be either positive or negative.

Along with my research and teaching, I have held several leadership roles in the particle physics community throughout my career. When my schedule allows, I participate in community outreach events and am available for media interviews.
